Property owners have what is known as premises liability, the responsibility to take reasonable care to remove any hazards on their properties that can potentially cause harmful accidents to social guests and individuals visiting for business purposes. When a visitor is injured because of a property owner’s failure to remove a hazard from his or her property, the property owner may be liable for the victim’s damages.
